First Day of School

We did our usual (which we have done every morning so far) which is stop by one of our local Boulongeries for a pastry. We found our school, it's about a 25 minute walk. It's tiny - like everything in France. All the rooms are small, so although they argue that they only will take 8 students per class to keep it personal, it's also because no more will be able to squeeze in. First day of school consisted of us all taking written and oral placement tests. We were told what the schedule for the next month is going to be and we met the teachers. There are 6 different sections. The two beginning classes - complete beginners and intermediate beginners are in the afternoon classes and the four others are in the morning.
We headed for round two of the Grand Palais, but with our luck - it was closed, because it was Monday. So we went across the river to Invalides. We saw Napoleon's grave and walked through the war museum. I really liked it, it was interesting to see a different country's perspective on WWII.

We dressed up and went to find dinner. By now we are getting really tired of sandwiches and bread - which is really sad, but we thought we'd take a break on pizza and pasta also. We found Chinese, and although it was a whole in the wall, it was absolutely delicious. The other night we went to a great pizza restaurant and ordered the Menu Formule. It came with a pizza, drink and dessert. I got a chevre pizza that was wonderful and orangina. For dessert I ordered something I didn't recognize. It ended up being a caramel custard.
Each night we've all sat on our bed together and watched a movie. So we usually start a show or movie and then finish it the next night. Tonight we watched some Wipeout episodes.
