Sunday, May 30

On our way back from the Tower, one of the previous days, we had made note on our map of a Protestant Lutheran Church. So Sunday morning we headed out. We had underestimated the walk, although we had walked over there Friday and Saturday, we didn't realized exactly how long it took us. It took us about an hour and ten minutes. We were about 20 minutes late for church, but we saw some stragglers tip toeing in, so we decided to follow them. We went in, it was a gorgeous church, but small, I counted about 45 people there. We were able to catch about 15 minutes of the sermon, he was teaching on the Christ's ascension. It was similar to Christ Church in the liturgy- we said the Apostle's Creed, and the songs were similar, one was actually familiar. One embarrassing moment was after the sermon the pastor read announcements, he pointed us out although I didn't hear what he said, I was reading the bulletin, but everyone turned around and looked at us, I didn't know if we were supposed to say anything or not, but he paused, then went on. So we decided that since we were over in that area we would go to the Grand Palais (after we had cappuccinos and crepes). So we walked over, and ended up going in the wrong side, which was a children's museum. I have to say, a little more exciting than the one in Pullman, it was interactive and ended up being really fun.
We stayed in for dinner, just went to the local market, got our usual - baguette, fromage, vin et chocolat.
