The sun came out!

I got another Pepito today - the really good cream and chocolate chip filled pastry, it was great. We are starting to become regulars at certain patisseries although we try to mix it up. There are two that are around the corner from our school we've started going to one for breakfast and grab a sandwich at the other for lunch. School was great again today. I asked Cecile today if French people ate as they walked, and she said only in Paris (which, obviously, doesn't happen all that often, since I haven't seen anyone) but in the rest of France the 2 hour lunch period that everyone - students included, are given is what keeps the French eating slow and enjoying their meals.
After school Monique and I stopped by a shop and I bought a pack of 3 moleskins. So our sketching adventures began. We went to the Pompidou Center (and while sharing a Mille Feille, we sketched that, then a tower that is also close to our house - tour Saint Jacque, then Notre Dame.
It is so nice and warm here, probably mid 70s. It's definitely a nice change from the clouds and rain, we hope it stays!
Last night for dinner we went to the Latin quarter because we found out that the rumors that the Louvre was free Wednesday was false, so we'll go Friday.

I got a picture of where we ate when we came to Paris with Carole, Jess and ALi, and saw the hotel. For dinner I got Onion Soup, le Plat du Jour (Spaghetti Bolognese) et Glace - it was a good meal for 10 euros.
Monique and I are cooking dinner tonight for the girls plus Sariah (the girl in our French class at U of I) and Sariah's friend.

  1. How fun to see where we ate lunch. Jess and Ali still talk about the Hotel Cluney (Cuney?) Square and the pots of chocolate we got for breakfast... What a way to start the day!
